What’s really important to me is your experience. Great hair of course is a given, but my goal is for you to fall in love with your time with us.

Specialising in major transformations does come with long appointments, so we’re here to make sure you feel super indulged every step of the way.

From massage chairs to our fully-licensed bar (p.s the first ever one in Taunton!) it’s fair to say that we have thought of every last detail.

Traditional salon’s with staff in black uniforms & only coffee on the menu just isn’t us. Think indulgent cocktail bar, great vibes & a space where you can truly relax if you’re a ‘picture it’ person.

Of course, I couldn’t do what I do without a truly incredible team behind me. They’ve all been trained to the highest standard, in fact before anyone starts working with our fantastic clients we retain them from scratch to ensure they deliver to our high standard EVERY SINGLE TIME.

It’s our team that makes us great!

 FAQ’s

  • When doing colour or extension work you must book a consultation before your appointment. Speaking to one of our friendly expert stylists we can be super clear on your hair version and the services we need to do in order to achieve this. For example, we may discover a different technique you want to book to achieve your desired result (e.g balayage rather than highlights, half head vs full head), or we can allot extra time if your hair is particularly thick / long etc. It also means we can ensure we are a good fit for you and vice versa!

  • We don’t have any parking just for Nichares however we recommend parking at Taunton Canon Street or Taunton Wood Street car park which is a short walk from the salon. There is a loading bay right outside if you’re lucky enough to get dropped off at your appointment.

  • The salon is open to 8pm every Tuesday and Thursday to help you find an appointment that works for your lifestyle. We also open every Saturday!

  • We totally understand that you want to find out a price before you go ahead. That’s why we offer a complimentary consultation before committing to any appointments so we can’t only find out more about you and your hair goals but we can also give you an accurate quote for the best services to achieve your desired look.   • Nichares isn’t currently taking on any new clients under 10years old.

  • Sadly we can’t accommodate any extra people during your appointment. The salon runs at full capacity and therefore due to health and safety reasons and to ensure all of our clients get the very best experience possible we don’t have the space to accommodate any plus ones. If you are nursing or have special requirements for your appointment please email us ahead of time so we can make arrangements for you at enquiries@nichares.co.uk 

  • Yes! There are two ways you can buy gift cards, you can get a physical gift card in store or you can purchase one by visiting the ‘gift voucher’ page.


  • We’re totally happy to advise you on your hair journey, however it does help us if you have a clear idea on the outcome you’re dreaming of. It’s always great to bring a couple inspiration images of your desired look! If you’re struggling we recommend bringing in some pictures of what you don’t like so we know exactly what to avoid. Some client come in having an idea already, some would prefer more guidance. Both are great and you’re in safe hands.

  • The easiest way to move your appointment is by phoning reception on 01823-275599. Appointments can be rescheduled up to 48 hrs before your booking, if you need to cancel or move your appointment within 48hrs before you there will be a charge of 50%. 

  • If you are having a colour service, you will need to come into the salon for a skin test and consultation at least 48 hrs before your appointment to ensure there is no reaction to the product. This is to keep you safe, you can book your complimentary consultation and skin test online.
